Today is the nationally observed day for Memorial Day formerly known as Decoration Day so I would like to remember those men and women who have died in the service of our country.
Greater love has no one than this, that someone lays down his life for his friends. John 15:13 (English Standard Version). If that’s true of your friends… then how much more so for a nation full of strangers. It is a brave and courageous thing to go to war and serve in that manner. I cannot understand or comprehend it because I have never been in that situation myself. I am very thankful to those that have served and saddened at the thought of the many losses our country has suffered. I am also thankful for those that are still serving for without them freedom would not be possible for me or my family. Thank you.
