Cleaning Up HTML Code

I love (sarcastically) cleaning up other people’s HTML code. For instance I just found this little snippet.

So let me get this straight… in this table column you want a single space, formatted with”Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif” font of size 2. Then you want to follow that with another single space formatted with the “Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif” font and size 2.

Blog Design – New Date Badge

Cascading StylesheetsHey, how do you like the small incremental changes I have been making to the site? What!? You haven’t noticed? Well, that just hurts. 🙁 After the categories consolidation and organization into tags the footer got a little bit of a face lift. The tag cloud now has a larger, more prominent area to stretch out it’s legs.

The latest change is the nifty new date badge you see just to the left of the post title. I’m trying to find small tweaks to make here and there that will push my blog design up just a few more notches. Anyway, I like the way it looks and I’ve seen it used elsewhere like here. It is basically just an image for the background (set in CSS) and then some styling to the date to get it in the right place.
